Allego Payment Kiosks

Along the process of streamlining its payment options and improve the ease for users to charge their EVs, Allego looked into multiple options. One of those options was the payment kiosk, a central solution connected to chargers that, originally, weren’t equipped with the technology to pay with digital wallets. The kiosk was a bridge allowing payment methods that would fit every user.

The considerations for this project were simple: applying Allego’s brand and improve on the existing assets, with a possible expansion and adaptation of this design approach into all the range of charging devices and overall location signage. Another consideration was that the kiosks needed to be central to the user experience, they needed to stand out from the charging points and easily communicate the user that the kiosk was the starting point of their EV charging process.

Multiple variants of the design were created for Elara touchscreen kiosks, for both white and black models, accompanied by 3D mock-ups, as well as animated interface mock-ups that could serve as a starting point for the UI design.
